Multiplying Numbers more than working base

Multiplying Numbers More Than The Working Base Using Nikhilum Sutra I: In this method we take a common base such that both the numbers are greater than the base. Such type of Techniques of Vedic Maths help us to perform calculations in a much faster way.  Mastering such type of techniques is very essential in Competitive Exams where time is very precious

For example let us take 113 and 117. As both the numbers are greater than 100, so we will take the base as 100.

For example let us take 226 and 207

Step 1: As both the numbers are greater than 200, so we will take the base as 200.

let the base be 200

226       +26

207       +7

Step 2: Now, multiply 26 with 7, we get 182.

Step 3: Now, add diagonally 226 with 7 or 207 with 26, We will get 233.

Step 4: Multiplying with the base 200 and adding 182.

233 X 200 = 46600 + 182 = 46782

Thus, answer is 46782.
